Worship can lead us out of the desert

“The vision for this free event came about several months ago, back when I was walking through my own personal desert,” says Francisco “Frankie” Famadas.  “I heard the Lord telling me that with everything going on, with the desert we are walking in corporately as well as personally, that we must stop and worship the Lord.”

This is why Frankie is putting together a series of free worship nights, with a worship team drawn from many different churches, in three separate churches around the Island.  The next concert will be Sunday, November 13, at the Iglesia El Encuentro in Hato Rey (right behind the Inter American Law School).

“The heart behind these events is literally the Lord speaking to His children and saying, ‘Give me your burdens and let me carry them for you,'” says Frankie.  “And after the first one [two weeks ago], I had so many friends coming up to me, especially pastors, and saying, ‘Wow, I needed this.  I needed to worship the Lord together with His people.’  And for many of them, it was the first time they had just gotten away in worship for months, maybe years.”
